Nokia's Best Phones - N97

This is the entry-level phone in the spectacular series of Nokia's smartphone lineup. Since its launch, this fully featured phone has managed to raise eyebrows and undercut the business of all other competitor cell phones. What made it an instant hit was its large touch-display; being first of its kind, it started selling like hot cakes and got the most desired hype.

Features of Nokia N97

Its 3.5" Touch Display makes it look the most sought for gizmo in the present market scenario. Youngsters are loving it because of its 32-GB internal storage with an addition of 16GB optional storage vis flash card. The reason for which people rely on Nokia products are its best quality parts. And this time too, Nokia has not disappointed its ‘fans’.

Nokia N97 come with a 5 Megapixel Carl Zeiss Lens – a size enough to go shooting and talking with the best quality picture and also the best quality audio signal. Nokia N97 also boosts of its GPS, WIFI, Bluetooth and FM radio, which is bare minimum one can ask for knowing it’s a Nokia product. If you are a fond listener of music, you will be happy to know that the sound quality of Nokia N97 is commendable.

The user manuals are also very good and easy to follow. The virtual numeric pad works well and there are very less chances of you having typos while dialing numbers or scribbling messages. Credit can be given to the physical designer of the phone. Picking up call, putting them on hold, locking and unlocking of phone, etc. is now a very easy job with Nokia N97 as they side buttons on the phone are responsible for these. The display of Nokia N97 has a resolution of 640x360.

Disadvantages of Nokia N97

Although Nokia stands alone in the market in terms of ease of operation and sound quality, what may disappoint users a bit are its low colours and inferior quality in comparison to other touch phones. Designers blame the display layers to be responsible for this.

What makes it a hot smartphone ?

Good camera – at least when it comes to the genre of phones and average battery life makes it a good deal to make given its affordable price. In the past couple of years, Nokia has become extremely competitive.

The Nokia N97  steep price as compares to its competitors may act as a deterrent but then think that you can feel pride of the fact that you are holding a Nokia and that also one from the N series.

One thing I really liked about the Nokia N97 is that the display opens up at an angle instead of going straight sides. This is just like the HTC Touch Pro 2 and AT&T Tilt. Nokia did pretty well with the slider design and it is easy to move the two parts. The slider is quite sturdy but I was wary of the plastic parts of the phone.
