Design
Brushed aluminum look gives the design of XT2 a great look. Another color available is black ebony which looks great too. The body of this tablet PC is quite sturdy. The wrist rest is comfortable and long typing hours will go smoothly.
The materials used in manufacturing this tablet are of high quality. The hinged construction of the tablet is similar to other ones in the market but is not very appealing. This tablet is comparatively lighter than others weighing just 1620 grams without its 6 cell battery.
Connectivity
The interfaces included in this convertible tablet are 3 USB 2.0 ports, Firewire, eSATA, card reader, fingerprint reader, VGA, audio in/out, Platform Module 1.2, LAN and Kensington lock preparation. The eSATA port gives convenience of using faster hard disks. The USB Power Share Port allows charging external devices like MP3 players, cell phones etc. even when the notebook is deactivated!
Keyboard, Touchpad and track point
The comfortable size of the keys makes typing a convenient experience. No keyboard light has however been given. The touchpad is a little small although its sensitivity and usage is convenient. One thing that isn’t comfortable is the trackpoint. The surrounding keys get pressed unintentionally when working with the track point.
Display
Desktop links allow quick access to many applications. The capacitive display screen senses even the slightest of the touches. A virtual mouse too is present on the display. The display screen however does not respond to multi touch gestures. The display of XT2 is 12.1 inches and has an aspect ratio of 16:10 with 1280x800 pixel resolution. Slight cloud formations can be noticed and 84% illumination is observed. The display is matte. The brightness is average of 177.6 cd/m2 even in the shadowy places.

XT2 is powered by Intel Core 2 Duo SU9400 ULV processor with 1.4 GHz as the clock rate. It comes with an integrated GMA 4500MHD graphic chip set and Montevina ship set, Intel GS45. The laptop has got 2 GB DDR3 RAM with either 80GB or 128 GB/256GB HDD. 3D applications friendly feature has been given in this tablet. Battery Life
