HDMI cable is provided with the Creative Vado camcorder for output to the HDTV. A USB connector, a video/audio output connector and a USB extension cable too are provided. The Vado Pocket Video Cam comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery that gives a total run time of two hours while recording high definition videos. For recording standard definition videos the run time goes up to a great eight hours. This battery has a limited rechargeable capacity. After sometime it will require replacement. The videos recorded by the camcorder are excellent in clarity. They are quite high definition and viewing them via the output cable on to a screen is again a delight.
The viewing of the videos in its display becomes difficult in harsh sunlight or when sunlight directly falls on it. The white balancing of the camcorder too is good with quick adjustments is varying lighting conditions. While shooting close ups the camcorder has little inconvenience but then this happens with most camcorders.
Similar inconvenience is noticed while recording moving objects. The clarity is not sufficient in those cases. A software that comes pre installed in the camcorder lets the user edit videos and even make stills out of them. With one touch videos can be uploaded to websites like YouTube and Box.net.
The control buttons are few in number are easy to understand and use. They perform better than even the best of the pocket camcorders available in the market.
