LG 's  Cookie KP500 is a cheaper option for touch-screen phone for those who like iPhone but unable to afford it.

While the iPhone would cost you anywhere around Rs 28000 - Rs 30000 (8GB) in India the KP500 is yours for Rs 13000/- approx !

KP500 uses soft-touch plastics, it does feel quite nice in the hand and stays fingerprint-free, aside from the screen., three buttons below screen -Call , End and Middle one to close or open mobile applications also the user interface is similar.

Inspired from the Viewty model , KP500 is a  light weight mobile phone weighing just 89g and measure 106.5mm tall, 55.4mm wide and 11.9mm thick and the Cookie easily slides into a pocket or handbag. The front and rear of the device are separated by a metallic silver band that loops around all four edges of the handset. On the opposite side is where you’ll find a proprietary port for the handsfree, charger and USB and volume/zoom keys.

KP500 sports a QWERTY style virtual keyboard when in landscape that is quite responsive and easy to manage. It has a 3 megapixel camera is located at the rear side. The mobileis supplied with 1GB microSD memory card on purchase.

Cookie KP500 has auto rotation display, and it shifts images and documents for easier viewing. The phone offers a good handwriting recognition feature. The stylus is neatly concealed and located at the bottom but slides out from the side. You can edit images by  touching the stylus. The supplied PDF viewer is good but does not display images inside thedocuments.

Cookie KP500 supports playing and downloading java games. The phone is embedded with games  "Tomsons & Touch"  , "Pipe Game", "Flying Dices", and "Wheel Mania".These Motion sensor games are enjoyable to play but needs good hand and eye co ordination.

LG claim that the Cookie's 900mAh battery gives the device 350 hours of standby time, or 3.5 hours of talk time. A single charge gives you two days average roughly.

A  low-light photography and close-ups gives poor image quality.
