Sony being the pioneer in this field is never in loss of ideas. As their competitors are busy launching in new products, Sony waits for the best idea to click and then it launches its product and that also with a huge bang.
The new camera holds a lot more promise than its earlier versions. It comes with all advantages of the Alpha system.

The Sony A100 is a camera in the Alpha line. Its APS-C sized, 10.2 megapixel CCD sensor is the least expensive in the market. It has a cool sensor mounted on an improved anti-shake mechanism This helps you shoot in low light. In non technical terminology, it means that if you were shooting a 250mm lens, you'd generally need to use a shutter speed of 1/250 to prevent motion blur.
There are features in this camera that help increase sharpness and reduce noise. The new DSLR-A100 looks and feels excellent. It is smooth and nicely contoured. The outer body of A100 has black spatter-painted stipple and the grip is supported by the wave. It boosts of a 2.5 inch LCD with 230,000 pixels. This orange ring, Sony’s new branch recognizer, surrounds the new line of lenses and appears in the function. It does not have a
pop up flash and you will have to lift it manually. The control buttons are typically well made.
The Eye Start AF gives a good experience while shooting.
But , Although it comes with noise reduction software, the noise it produces is enough to turn heads as you open your camera in a seminar or during a presentation. The shutter also release a strong sound is like sloshing something in water. In low light, the images have blurred details, and it doesn’t work well in high ISO.
Sony's Carl Zeiss optics is something that people can always count on. Another important feature is that you can save images on CompactFlash Type I or II memory cards. The Power supplied by a single high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack or separate AC adapter is also great and you can count on it for long.
